External brickwork in particular needs to be regularly inspected to determine any movement to bed joints, cracking and fissures which affects all types of buildings. For industrial painting and surface preparation, rope access systems, which enable specialist operatives to access difficult to reach locations safely and quickly, are often utilised as an effective alternative to standard scaffold.
