Health & Safety
As well as the important work at Committee level, ATLAS has a fundamental commitment to upholding exceptional standards in Health & Safety and ensuring that members receive the most up-to-date information in these fields.
The ATLAS Council has active participation in external bodies, all of which further and promote the development and enhancement of health and safety standards in the industry.
Involvement in such bodies and committees such as:
- The Access Industry Forum: for all trade bodies and associations involved in the access industry, committed to advancing safety and best practice. The AIF liaised closely with the HSE during the development of the 2005 Work at Height Regulations, in which ATLAS was also heavily involved to ensure the steeplejack and lightning protection industry was properly represented
- British Standard Committees for all industry related topics and areas
- HSE Discussion Groups
- HSE Liaison Groups for access and working at height
...ensure that industry interests are represented for the benefit of members, and that ATLAS member companies receive the most advanced advice and recommendations in the pursuit for excellence in health and safety.
