The purpose and Function of the Committee is firstly, to prepare a 'member anonymous' annual accident rate statistics report from mandated member submissions for the purposes of assisting Council with its business in terms of representing and advising the membership on Health & Safety related issues. In particular the statistics and report are prepared as an aid to Council to constantly and consistently seek to assist and make recommendations to its membership in support of promoting a culture of zero accidents within its membership.
Secondly, the Committee collates information mandated by Council of its membership in order to verify the annual amount of training time carried out as a percentage of hours worked by any member is within the stated requirements of membership.
